Light yellow with a tint of green. Orange blossom on the nose. Loads of grapefruit and a light, short finish. 4 Notes

Light yellow in color and relatively acidic for a viognier with hints of tropical fruit. The acidity really lingers on the finish. 4 Notes

I strongly prefer this to their regular viognier. Milder on the acidity, and more balanced in my opinion. Light and easy to drink. 4 Notes

The 2008 Viognier by one of the biggest and most knowledgeable winemakers in Virginia has the nose and flavor of the tropics with a hint of vanilla. Pair with creamy cheese, seafood, or grilled chicken. 91 points: Wine Advocate. $25 1 Note

I haven't said this about any wine this summer, but this was seriously a party on the palate with very distinctive tastes. I wish I could be more specific on the fruit flavors, but if you've had your fill of chardonnay of sauv blanc, this wine is somewhere out in Never Never Land (the Peter Pan version--not Michael Jackson's, R.I.P.).
