Very sweet and ripe nose with layers of cassis, tar, overripe fruit aromas, black pepper and green olives, very perfumed and aromatic; lots of sweet fruit in the mouth, sweet and fleshy, good balance with nicely interwoven acidity that makes the wine fresh and gives it some needed structure; big wine and borders on over-the-top, but pulls back at the last minute to finish well with soft tannins and long flavors.
