This winning blend is 70% Sémillon, the least appreciated of Washington white wines. It's a nice idea, taking the woolly, herbal Sémillon fruit and adding the broadstroke, friendly flavors of Chardonnay. The result is a user-friendly white wine that's a cut above generic versions of either grape. 1 Note

It is amazing that 134,000 cases of this budget bottling can be made to this level of quality. From a classic vintage, it’s structured and substantial, overcoming the somewhat overdone vanilla flavors with great fruit and firm acids. 1 Note

For some reason, the budget-priced Two Vines Chardonnay lags its pricier siblings by a vintage or two. It’s beginning to flatten out as a result, the freshness fading, though the fruit is still there and it is a pleasant effort, with some buttered apple flavors dominant. 1 Note

A great entry-level Riesling, fresh, floral and delicate, the Two Vines offers refined, even subtle flavors of green apple and melon, with lovely natural acidity. Despite considerable residual sugar, it does not seem overly sweet. 1 Note

Slightly candied, bright cherry fruit and a healthy dose of vanilla give this easy-to-drink Shiraz all the prerequisites for commercial success. The creamy mouthfeel shows very little tannin, while the juicy, mouthwatering finish picks up enough hints of complexity to keep it interesting. With 100,000 cases made, should be plenty easy to find. 1 Note
