Given the prices for top Austrian Rieslings, this represents a bargain. It’s rich and intense, with hints of honey, spice and smoke that twine around a core of powerful mineral flavors. It’s capped off by a long, mouthcoating finish. 1 Note

The crispness is paramount here, maybe too much, meaning that the wine is very green. Of course, this is Riesling and is way too young now. For the moment, the fruit is taut and strung out, and it certainly needs 2–3 years. 1 Note
