From the era when this winery produced top ranked Zins; sweet and rich nose, tobacco aromas dominate, black pepper, herbs, licorice; sweet and ripe fruit in the mouth, black cherries, blackberries; as with older Zins, the wine is a bit thin and light; the fruit is drying out, showing some dry edges to the wine; good finish, but time to drink this one.
