Intensely Chardonnay, this beautiful wine, named after the ancient rulers of Champagne, is pure mineral, green and citrus fruits, a steely shaft of pure concentration. Now just with a light touch of toast, this still will mature for several years. 1 Note

With its light onion skin color, this is a fine and structured, as much wine as Champagne, a great accompaniment to food. It is rich, ripe, with strawberry flavors and mellowness. 1 Note

Creamy, fruity aromas already suggest a light, frothy wine. And that’s just what this is, fulfilling all the specifications for a rosé. There’s some of the 2000 vintage’s acidity, and the wine floats across the mouth. 1 Note

A beauty in every respect. The nose is perfectly toasted, with attractive apple and peach nuances. The palate feel and its full-fruit flavors build into a crescendo of Champagne style. It’s clean, lusty and just the right call for a celebratory evening. Mouthfuls of total harmony don’t come often and they don’t come cheap. 1 Note

This is an explosion of chocolate and cherries, lifted gloriously on an ocean of tiny bubbles. Copper colored and Pinot-scented, its rich fruit tastes like ripe cherries rolled in milk chocolate, decadent and elegant at the same time. Exceptional length and depth of flavor. 1 Note

Very airy, light and floating, this is a typical fresh, elegant wine in the Taittinger style. It has delicious, open raspberry and citrusy flavors, with a great finishing pizzazz of freshness. 1 Note

A gloriously rich rosé that is full of ripe raspberries that burst in the mouth. It has a tight texture, balanced by a rounded feel. It is still young, of course, and the sweet finish needs time to integrate. Even so, relish the wine now, or wait 3–4 years. 1 Note
