Soft and seductive nose, loaded with tropical fruit and melon aromas, wafting and sweet; rich and unctuous in the mouth, loaded with cantaloupe and melon flavors, mixed with bitter grapefruit and spices; not as focused as I would have thought, but deep and laced with richness and sweet tropical favors. The nose is very reticent at first, hiding the aromas of the wine, but then it slowly opens up to reveal a rich and ripe nose of melons and tropical fruits, sugar building in intensity in the glass; ripe and rich fruit, lots of melon flavors mixed with honey and touches of lemon juice; really focused and intense but at the same time round and almost oily with tons of glycerin; very long finish; never loses a step to the last drop. Soft sweet nose of lemons, melons, and hints of tropical fruits, quite reticent to give up its aromas, and remains quite faint; solid flavors with lots of melon and lemon flavors, medium dry with a solid touch of acidity mixed with the more traditional sweetness of these wines; round and soft, but also with good balance; not up to the best wines of this region, but good for what it purports to be. Sweet ripe nose with pronounced aromas of melons and cantaloupes, sugar, and wafting spices; smooth and silky, sweet and unctuous in the mouth; lots of melon flavors, good, solid acidity that holds the wine in focus; long, sweet, smooth finish, but at the same time reserved and almost distant in putting forth its flavors. Opens with a very light and reticent nose, distant aromas that seem to be struggling to emerge, but there is a touch of citrus fruit and minerals, as the wine opens more in the glass, there emerge rich aromas of melons and cantaloupes mixed with the exotic aromas of various tropical fruits; sweet in the front of the mouth, but then there is a lightning strike of acidity that produces intense lemon flavors etched with minerals and cold steel; this is a powerful wine that evokes a much bigger statement than many of the wines of this area. Restrained nose, refined and elegant with perfumed and floral scents mixed with spices and a contained sweetness; fresh and lemony in the mouth, good composition in this wine, lots of nuances, sweetness mixed with touches of key limes and minerals; long finish, clean and crisp, but not as powerful in this vintage as in some others that I have tasted. Sweet, rich nose, very perfumed and loaded with tropical fruits, touch of butterscotch in the nose, but also has a dry, herbal set of scents with a touch of vinyl; surprisingly dry and austere in the mouth with a focused, lemony set of flavors; very elegant, obviously showing solid acidity in the mouth with green herbs and tightly compacted fruit; long finish, citric and elegant, but very unlike its nose.
