Enjoy a Mountaintop Picnic (at 10,350 feet above sea level), the 2014 Rosé Wine Debut Tasting, Wine Dinners, the American Lamb Cook-off and Aprés Ski Tasting, seminars (including the “Speed Dating with the Heartbreak Grape”) at the 25th Annual Taste of Vail. SF Vintners Market, San Francisco, California, April 11-12
Experience a Farmer’s Market for wine, where you can “try it, then buy it” from over 100 wineries. Most wineries will be selling bottles of the wines you are tasting on the spot. The event features a Main Room, a Reserve Room with wines priced at $50 a bottle and up, and a Cult Lounge with wines priced at $100 a bottle and up.
“A Roll in the Shea”, Newberg, Oregon, April 18
Penner-Ash Wine Cellars will bring together 10 wineries at their “Roll in the Shea” comparative tasting to explore the varied expressions of Pinot Noir made from the Shea Vineyard. Besides a walk-around tasting, there will also be two “Defining Shea” seated seminars during which five producers will pour additional tastes and discuss those wines.
