Here at Bottlenotes we absolutely LOVE that we are bringing Around the World in 80 Sips back to San Francisco for the 7th year in a row (Has it really been going on for that long?). If you are anywhere near San Francisco, you will be heartbroken if you miss it.

Slow Wine US Tour, New York, New York, Feb. 2

You’ll have a chance to speak with winemakers and learn more about the importance of sustainability and the commitment necessary to carry it out. International Alsace Varietals Festival, Anderson Valley, California, Feb. 7

andersonvalleywinegrowerslogoProducers and fans of Alsatian wines such as Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Muscat, from all over the world, converge on the Anderson Valley.
Events include: an educational seminars (such as a Single Vineyard Pinot Blanc tasting); a grand tasting where you’ll have a chance to speak with winemakers about their wines; and a formal sit-down dinner with the winemakers at Scharffenberger Cellars. Click here for more information.

NYC Winter Wine Festival, New York, New York, Feb. 7

nyc-wwf-2Enjoy 3 hours of tasting over 250 wines from around the world, a selection of hors d’oeuvres, antipasto, pasta, cheese, and breads, and live Contemporary Jazz from Special EFX. There will be two separate sessions, one in the afternoon, one in the evening. A VIP Suite with special wines such as Dom Perignon and Tignanello is available at both sessions. Splendor in the Glass, Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb. 7

winetasting-2015-donate3Enjoy the wines and beers from 60 wineries and breweries, a live wine auction, a silent auction and the sounds of the Woody Woods jazz ensemble at this annual tasting. Renowned Chef Hubert Keller will be presenting a cooking demonstration with some of his favorite dishes. Proceeds from the event benefit Vegas PBS, the public television station for Southern Nevada. Lyric Opera Wine Auction 2015, Chicago, Illinois, Feb. 7
