Sonoma County Wine Weekend, Healdsburg, California,Sept. 2-4
This is Sonoma County’s signature, and largest, charity event. It brings together over 200 of Sonoma’s top winemakers and growers, along with a bunch of the area’s best chefs. Events include: winemaker dinners and lunches in the vineyards, Sonoma Starlight, a wine tasting under the stars and the Sonoma Harvest Wine Auction. All proceeds benefit local Sonoma charities.
Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival, Truckee California, Sept. 9-11
It’s the 31st anniversary of this 3-day Festival! Events include: the Culinary Competition & Grand Tasting, Farm to Tahoe Dinner, Village Wine and Brew Walk, Blazing Pans Mountain Chef Cook Off, Charbay Release Party , Vertical Mountainside Tasting, the Petra Winery Luncheon, and Take a Hike! Progressive Picnic.
Hudson Valley Wine and Food Festival, Rhinebeck, New York, Sept 10-11
Enjoy tastings from more than 75 wineries, distilleries, craft breweries and cideries from all around New York State. There will also be more than 100 gourmet specialty food, art, craft and home goods vendors. Taste food by well-known chefs. Live music too!
GrapeFest: A Wine Experience, Grapevine, Texas, Sept. 15-18
The 30th annual GrapeFest showcases Texas, California and Australian wines. Events include: Pre-Festival Wine & Culinary Pairing Dinners, the People's Choice Wine Tasting Classic, the Texas Wine Tribute, GrapeStomp and the Champagne Cork Shoot-Off.
Crocker Park Wine Festival, Westlake, Ohio, Sept. 16-17
Enjoy 150 wines from local, national and international producers well as select craft beers and spirits. There will be music, wine education seminars, and a variety of exhibitors, artists and delectable food. The event benefits health-related charities in Cuyahoga County area and beyond.
CRUSH - Wine and Culinary Showcase, Temecula Valley, California, Sept. 17
Taste 100+ wines poured by more than 30 Temecula Valley wineries and sample gourmet bites from over 15 local restaurants and caterers. Mix and mingle with winery owners and winemakers at this enchanted evening under the stars while enjoying live entertainment.
Harvest in the Square, New York, New York, Sept. 22
Chefs from popular NYC restaurants will serve up tastings of signature dishes using fresh produce from Union Square Greenmarket, while wines and microbrews will be served with each offering. Event proceeds support ongoing efforts to beautify and maintain Union Square Park in Manhattan.
Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival, Newport, Rhode Island, Sept. 22-25

Institute of Masters of Wine Champagne Tasting, San Francisco, California, Sept. 26
One of the largest and most prestigious tasting of champagne in North America, the tasting will include many exceptional Champagnes organized by style: Non-vintage, Demi-Sec, Vintage, Blanc de Blanc and Rose/Blanc de Noir wines. Events include a seated afternoon tasting of prestige cuvees and vintage selections and evening walk-around tastings.
People’s Choice Blind Tasting and Awards, Temecula, California, Sept. 29
Cast your vote at this blind tasting of the wines that Temecula Valley wineries believe to be their “best” bottles. Voting will take place at a mid-morning walk-around tasting. Results of the blind tasting will be announced at a wine dinner and awards celebration the same evening, recognizing the winning wines and featuring a five-course tasting menu with local wine pairings.
